There are three key advantages of being a full member:

• We will send you our Member newsletter every month. In each issue you will get one free lesson taken from various Building Blocks in the Virtual Art Academy® Full Course. The Member newsletter also contains information about interesting museum exhibitions, art competitions, recommended art books and videos, and special offers on our courses. Later in the month you will also receive an assignment related to the newsletter lesson.
• You get access to the Academy Online Campus, a place where you can share your assignments with other academy members. You can post your assignments and get feedback from other students, as well as start discussions with other students on specific parts of the program that you are working on. If you are working in isolation, this is an excellent way to connect with other students around the world who are working on the same learning program as you.   Important Note: There is no instructor. The online campus is designed for students to help each other and who otherwise might not have anyone to work with. This keeps the campus inexpensive and affordable for everyone. If there were an instructor, the campus would cost the same as going to art school (of the order of $20,000 per year). However Barry John does offer limited private tuition for those who need it.




 
• The complete Virtual Art Academy® program is not static. I am continually researching new ideas and principles in painting as well as improving on existing approaches. I am sharing this information with my students by publishing it in a series of updates to the course materials. These updates are in the exact same easy-to-read format as the original materials. Your full membership entitles you to get these updates free of charge, so any materials you have purchased never get out of date. You will receive these updates in your Members Newsletter each month.
